My interests...

MUSIC

I have been playing blues and rock guitar for about 7 years, and bass guitar for 2 years, ever since I heard the Beatles, I knew I wanted to play guitar and make music with my friends, since then my musical horizon has expanded in a vast way, I try to listen to a new album each week, no matter what genre, from classics like Miles Davis's 'Kind of Blue', Fleetwood Mac's Rumours, Joy Devision's Unknown Pleasures, Iron Maiden's 'Iron Maiden' to more contemporary Music like Ariel Pink's 'POM POM' and Rival Sons 'Great western valkyrie'.

FILM

Flim has been one of the most important things in my life so far, I have been a massive movie fan since I was a small child, and have a movie collection of over 500 dvds, when my aunty was a projectionist at odeon I would go really often to see all of the newest films, even being able to see Star Wars Episode 3 at 11 pm the night before release. My career choice came from watching resoviour dogs for the first time, and being blown away by the sure powerful acting and camera work, I knew after seeing it I needed to make films.

It was after seeing 'Hunger' by Steve McQueen, that I knew british films could be different from the typical Black comedys or heist film, I decided i wanted to get in to art films.

PHOTOGRAPHY

I have been a keen photographer in my spare time since my uncle introduced macro photography to me, showing me how getting closer to things can create their own worlds, it soon expanded in to film photography as my granddad lent me his camera and I began shooting macro and even portrait photography, when i finally saved up for a DSLR I decided that I wanted to become a photographer, and with this I try to incorporate photographic techniques in to my filming.

VIDEO GAMING

I am a massive consumer of video games, and have been since I was young, I saved up for my PS1, then a PS2 then a PS3 and now a PS4 and a PC, I love how they have changed through out the years, from something that was obviously just a video game, to now where the line between a video game and a film is becoming blurred with games like the Order 1866, its a fantastic time to play games, and a fantastic time to be apart of a evolving interactive industry.
