This was my trip to BVE in london were i had the opportunity to gaze at many a expensive camera, but in my short time i did manage to get to two lectures:
Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014
This was a presnetation outlining the new additions to CC 2014, including automatic tracking, a system that tracks moving objects even after you have placed an effect down, for example, placing a blur mask on a car, will then track and move the mask depending on where the car is in frame, saving alot of time.
The other things were to do with Synchronization between programs, using an After Effects composition in Premiere, any changes you made in After Effects would automatically be changed in premere.
Lighting masterclass.
This was a fantastic masterclass in lighting, I learned about how different lights and different placements can create different moods, but also how to create light that 'flows' over a subject making the subject's light and shadows look natural.
We were also shown that it's the shadows that can sometimes create an image, how using shadows can bring out a person and make them look beautiful, or create sinister shadows that create a ugly looking person.
Other than the two lectures there was plenty to do at BVE, including looking at the newest tech for film making, including the new RED EPIC Dragon, and the new Atmos Shogun, however i decided to look at the new Black Magic Design cameras in depth and talk to some of the representatives about how to use the new URSA.
